History
of The Pastry Swan Bakery

The
Pastry Swan Bakery
Established in 1985 by Allan
& Olivia Trombino.
A family owned and operated
small business then, and remains so today. The Pastry
Swan Bakery attracted a respectable client base, with
fresh, hi quality baked goods. The Pastry Swan Bakery
prospered throughout the 1980’s and most of the 1990’s
under the Trombinos watchful eyes. In 1997 Robert &
Deborah Quinn “Took the reins” with much enthusiasm,
Deborah put her 18+ years of bakery experience to work
immediately. With a sharp eye for detail and keen sense
of design & detail Deborah set out to “build the bakery
of her dreams”. She immediately relocated the facility,
and began assembling a professional crew, with the goal
of providing the finest (fresh baked) goods available
anywhere.
In 2000 The Pastry Swan Bakery
had a new location built by Robert Quinn, a General
Contractor by trade. With the new 2800 SQ FT facility,
in Cathedral City, California at 68-444 Perez Road.
Deborah was able to throw it into high gear. Later the
same year our second location was opened, also built by
Robert. It is located in Palm Desert, California at
73-560 El Paseo (our coffee shop). This family run
business has grown modestly in the last few years, along
with the fulltime efforts of Deborah & Robert, there are
several long term employees (like family) as well as
Lavern (Deborah’s mother) as long term as it gets, and
two of our five children to round the crew out.
Back to Deborah, her daily
efforts are focused primarily on
specialty cakes. With this
focus, the Pastry Swan Bakery
has appeared in Glamour
magazine, Next magazine, and was
also voted, by the desert Sun
News Paper to be the “Best of
the Valley” in 2000/2001
Finally it’s this family’s goal
to provide the finest in
specialty cake as
well as a full line of fresh
baked goods anywhere. Thank you
for your

interest in the Pastry Swan
Bakery.
